NexGenBio Mentorship Programme
Open-access, structured mentorship sessions connecting the Next Generation of Biomedical scientists with experienced researchers, clinicians, innovators, and entrepreneurs, delivered as part of Pangaea Genomics non-profit capacity building mandate. Open to students and early-career scientists across universities in Zambia, Africa, and beyond.
What Is the NexGenBio Mentorship Programme?
The NexGenBio Mentorship Programme delivers structured mentorship sessions through public webinars and university partnerships across Africa. Each session connects students and early-career scientists not only with experts in genomics, digital pathology, computational biology, clinical research, and public health, but also with successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, and innovators who understand the realities of building sustainable institutions and enterprises in Africa. We believe the next generation of African biomedical scientists must be equipped not only to conduct world-class research, but to build the organisations, companies, and systems that translate that research into lasting impact.
Who Can Attend
The NexGenBio Mentorship Programme is open to everyone. No prior experience in genomics or research is required. If you are curious about biomedical science, African health challenges, genomics, digital pathology, computational biology, or building a research career in Africa, this programme is for you.
Sessions are particularly relevant for undergraduate and postgraduate students in biomedical and related sciences, early-career researchers and clinicians, science educators and academic staff, and anyone with a genuine interest in African genomic and biomedical science.
